MY's Blog First Anniversary

                      I have started blogging in December 2013. My first post was on December 30th 2013. It is Palak Dal. I started my blog with one category that is MY's Recipes. It is all about Indian Vegetarian food. Gradually I added other categories namely DIY Sewing and Crochet which is my hobby. Later extented to Hindu Temples and Festivals in which I am interested in and the last one was paid survey reviews which I was doing since 6 years. My first year journey in blogging is a good learning experience...the last year have given me enough hope & enthusiasm to take this forward to the next year. Spinash Paratha

Spinach ( Palakura as called in telugu) is a  leafy vegetable. It is rich in Vitamin A, C, K, Magnesuim and iron. Spinach paratha is prepared with spinash, wheat flour and some spices. It is easy to cook, looks green in colour and tastes good.  Ingredients: Spinach: 1 large bunch. Wheat Flour: 2 cups Cumin powder: 1 tsp Red chilli powder: 1 tsp Salt to taste Oil to cook Parathas. Procedure: Take spinach in a bowl cut into small pieces. Grind it to make a puree. Take a large bowl add spinach puree, wheat flour, cumin powder, salt, red chilli powder and 1 tsp oil. Mix it well to form a soft dough. You don't need to add water to mix the flour as spinach puree itself contains water. Knead the dough by adding 1 tsp oil. Prepare small balls with the dough. Take one ball and roll it with a rolling pin into a small circle. Grease oil on it and fold it twice to form a triangle. Roll it again with the rolling pin to form a large disc. Preheat the

Tomato Raita

Tomato is a  commonly used vegetable in a variety of dishes. It gives good taste with its tanginess.  Tomato raita is spicy, tangy and is more delicious than any other raita. Here goes the simple procedure to prepare Tomato Raita. Ingredients: Tomatoes: 4 (finely chopped) Green chillies: 3 (finely chopped) Mustard seeds: 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds: 1/2 tsp Red chillies: 1 Curry leaves: Few Yogurt: 1 cup Oil:1tsp Turmeric powder: small pinch Asafoetida: small pinch Coriander to garnish. Procedure: Take yogurt in a bowl and beat it till it becomes smooth. Add salt and turmeric powder to it. Keep it aside. Take a kadai add 1tsp oil and add mustard seeds, when it splutters add cumin seeds red chillies, asafoetida, curry leaves and green chillies. Sauté it for a minute and add tomatoes. Close with a lid and simmer it till tomatoes are cooked. Add these cooked tomato to yogurt and mix it well. Garnish with coriander. Serve with Parathas or
